Maia Lauria

Maia Lauria, B.S., graduated from Fordham University in 2017 with a degree in Integrative Neuroscience. She coordinates the PREPP R01 study that examines a behavioral intervention combining psychoeducation, parenting techniques, and mindfulness for pregnant women at risk for postpartum depression.

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she will help coordinate the study for both English and Spanish speaking participants. She is interested in how prenatal environmental stressors impact fetal and infant brain development. Her other research interests include the molecular mechanisms underlying memory and learning. She plans to attend graduate school in clinical psychology.
